Volunteer with the Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (W.A.R.M.)

WARM logoVolunteer with us on Saturday, October 4th for about 5 hours. We need volunteers to assist with our first Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry project of the semester! Volunteers should dress comfortably in clothes that can get dirty. You will also need to bring a lunch.

Volunteer with the Miracle League of Wilmington!

Volunteers are needed every Saturday, from September 13-November 1, 2014 to assist with Miracle League Game Days!

Miracle League logoVolunteers can help with game set up and tear down, be a player "buddy" during the games, or just come out and cheer for the athletes! Games will be held each Saturday, weather permitting.

2014 Seahawk Leadership Conference

Seahawk Leadership Conference LogoUNCW will host the second annual Seahawk Leadership Conference on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 9:00am-4:30pm. This conference provides up to 300 UNCW students with a free opportunity to attend a campus-based leadership conference and connect with other students, faculty, staff, and local community members. It is designed to provide leadership development opportunities for UNCW students of all levels, abilities, and interests.


Conference registration is now open and will occur on a first-come, first-served basis. At the time all 300 spaces are filled, additional registrants will be placed on a wait list. Wait listed registrants will be notified of any openings between September 8th and October 18th, in priority order.

Stop Hunger Now logoStop Hunger Now is an international hunger relief agency focused on ending world hunger. Each year, UNCW hosts a campus wide meal packaging event. Students, staff, businesses, and members of the community are invited to volunteer, donate, and sponsor the program. Through fund-raising and packaging events, UNCW can package 10,000+ meals in a few hours.

Assisted Living and Memory Care center needs volunteers!

Volunteers needed and welcomed to assist in any of the following fields:

  • Administrative (lobby receptionist)
  • Dietary (dining room)
  • Housekeeping (assisting residents)
  • Horticultural/Landscaping/Gardening (patio garden/perimeter landscaping)

10-12 hours weekly (Between the hours of 9AM to 4PM)
Hours would be flexible depending on students availability.  In addition, a few
hours on Saturday/Sunday would be ideal.

Volunteers needed for the Walk for Champions 3k/5k

Volunteers are needed to assist with the Walk for Champions on October 18th!

Jazz Rendezvous is hosting a fundraising run and a music festival at the Mayfaire Town Center for the Pretty in Pink Foundation. Volunteers interested in helping with registration should be available from 6:30-9:00 am

The 3k/5k will be followed by the Shades of Pink Music Festival!

Volunteers interested in helping with concert set up should be available at 11:00 am
Those interested in helping with break-down of event should be available 8:30pm-until

'Breaking Through' Film and Panel Discussion

The Office of Student Leadership & Engagement and LGBTQIA Resource Office of UNCW present Breaking Through: Out of the Closet, Into the Halls of Power

This film explores leadership through the LGBTQIA perspective.
A panel discussion will follow the film. Panel guests include:
