Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC seeks volunteers for NC State Fair

Planning to attend the state fair or thinking about going?  Would you like free admission with a free parking pass, a free t-shirt, and a second ticket to the fair for free, while helping to feed those who go hungry in central and eastern North Carolina?

We need volunteers for each day of the fair to administer brief questionnaires to fair goers.  This information will be used to improve future fairs AND for administering the survey, the state fair will donate enough money for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina to purchase 100,000 pounds of food!

If you can help us, please follow this link to sign up for a maximum* 4 or 5 hour session and have some fun while helping your community.  We need a total of 100+ workers who will choose from one of these dates and shifts (4 people per shift; working as 2 teams of 2 is ok):

October 16-26
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
6 p.m. - 10 p.m.

*These are maximum shift times.  Actual end of session will be determined once each individual volunteer collects 15 surveys.

YOU MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO ADMINISTER THE SURVEY.  THERE IS A BRIEF TRAINING SESSION FOR VOLUNTEERS.

Spaces will be given on a first come first serve basis, so act quickly.  And most of all, thank you for your support of the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and the NC State Fair!
